Since Paramount has become so much more than just a furniture store, we are now known as Paramount Home & Design. In November 2021, Paramount completed the construction of a brand new 35,000 square foot, two-level showroom at 3311 Sweden Way in Richmond.

OUR ORIGIN

Paramount Furniture was the creation of Vancouver businessman Moe Samuel. In 1972, he opened a small furniture store on Arbutus Street in Vancouver, having no idea what it would become. In 1978, he moved the store to Minoru Boulevard in Richmond, where it remained for 43 years. During the 1980s and 1990s, Moe gradually expanded the showroom to 50,000 square feet to meet the demand from Paramount’s customers. He continued to grow the business over the next four decades.

Paramount became the largest high quality home furnishings store in the Vancouver area, with a showroom of inventory available for immediate delivery. We developed a large following of loyal customers and our rich diversity of furniture also made us a favourite resource for the local design community. Paramount has continued to be locally owned and operated by the next generation of the Samuel family.

Paramount completed the construction of a brand new 35,000 square foot, two-level showroom at 3311 Sweden Way in Richmond. This beautiful new store will provide the perfect home for Paramount for decades to come. The core values of providing high quality home furnishings combined with exceptional service remain the keys to our longevity and success.
